"There’s a reason you separate military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people."

– Bill Adama, Battlestar Galactica

And vice versa, apparently.

Trigger Warning: mentions of diet, calories, bullying, disordered eating
Years of being picked on for my weight had really messed up my perspective on myself and life in general. All the hatred lead me to believe that there was really something wrong with how I looked. I wasn’t at all motivated until I realized that I needed to stop drowning myself in self pity and do something about it. At first, I’ll be honest, I did it to prove everyone wrong. I then became obsessed to become ‘skinny.’ That was my goal. I always knew that my body type was not that of a skinny persons’ but I tried as hard as I could and developed an eating disorder. I would eat 500 calories and burn off 400 every day. I was growing weak and tired and still was unsatisfied. It was a hard fight to win but eventually I realized I cannot be “perfect”, I only had to be myself. I started over and here I am. Trying each and every day to truly love myself. It’ll be hard but I know that I can get there.

If you want to go for a mainstream look with your makeup, go for it.
If you want to go for a more “you” look with your makeup, go for it.
If you just want to wear basic makeup, go for it.
If you want to wear fancy makeup, go for it.
If you want to wear a lot of makeup, go for it.
If you want to wear no makeup, go for it.

It’s your face and no matter what you do or don’t put on it, you’ll look stunning.

I wanted to make I post I could link too whenever someone asks me this~

Seriously. Even if I was hella in shape, really healthy, no one would be asking for health or work out tips from me if I was fat. Stop assuming because someone looks like what society deems as ‘healthy’ or ‘fit’ that they are, it’s a lie, they are try to sell you things and make you hate and judge strangers. Stop buying into it.

Ten dropping all kinds of truth again.

This is great! Honestly- for years my mum and I both said that just because someone is skinny doesn’t mean “health” and fat doesn’t always me “sickly”. My Aunty is thin and eats whatever she wants but is so sick and unhealthy, she also has extreme high cholesterol. My mum who is heavy (mainly from a thyroid condition) works out weekly, eats a controlled amount of cals and has no other health issues. So tell me again how body type indicates health? Some people are just the way they are and It doesn’t mean one is more fit than the other. It’s called metabolism and unfortunately each person has it differently.

This post deserves all the reblogs!!!
